Get ready as we set off for one of the top spots in the world for viewing the American Bald Eagle, Wabasha, Minnesota, where every winter hundreds of bald eagles congregate along the Mississippi River. Wabasha is home to the new National Eagle Center where we’ll learn about this cultural icon, view eagles around and within the center and visit with Harriet, Angel and Columbia, the three captive birds of the center. We are also treated to two live animal shows

We’ll also visit the Watkins Museum one of the oldest companies in the country and the Marine Art Museum. Enjoy dinner at the Historic Anderson House, famous for their cats that can be requested for overnight guests. During dinner, resident innkeeper Teresa Smith will join us with stories of the ghosts of Anderson House.

A visit to LARK Toys to see the hand-carved carousel is capped off with dinner at Slippery’s Restaurant, made famous by the movie Grumpy Old Men, and known for its great food.
